Getting Started

Step 1) Download uPlexa Android Wallet from Google Play Store by searching "uPlexa Android Wallet". Current version is 0.0.3 at the time when this article is written.
Note: Android wallet required permission to your storage to create a wallet file & camera for QR Code scanning for sending funds.


Step 2) You need to set up nodes for the android wallet first before creating a wallet. Hostname: remote.uplexa.com Port: 20161

Creating a Wallet

Step 1) Click "+" icon at the bottom of the apps and select "Create new wallet".


Step 2) Give name to your wallet and put in strong password. If you lose the wallet password, you can only recover your wallet using 25-Word Mnemonic Seed key.
Note: If your phone have biometric scan function, you can set to open your wallet using fingerprint.


Step 3) Once you created your wallet, your wallet public address, Seed, crazypass encrypted password and Private-keys will be shown.
IMPORTANT! COPY and SAVE ALL the details to somewhere SAFE! This details is required to recover your wallet. Losing this wallet details and you will lost your wallet forever. Keep your Crazypass encrypted password EVEN IF you did NOT create a password! You may need it when you update wallets later!


Step 4) Confirm you have copy all the wallet details, and you will be taken to the wallet page.


Step 5) When you open your wallet for the first time, your android wallet will need to sync to uPlexa blockchain and it'll take few minutes to complete.


Step 6) Once your android wallet is synchronized, you will be able to use your wallet including sending funds.

Restoring Your Wallet

You can restore your uPlexa Wallet created earlier using Web Wallet, Android or GUI Wallet by using two options:

  • Restore using 25-Word Mnemonic Seed (Private Login Key)
  • Restore using Wallet Address and Private-Keys (View & Spend Key)

Select Restore wallet from private keys or Restore wallet 25 word seed.

Restore using 25-Word Mnemonic Seed (Private Login Key)

  • Type-in or Copy Paste your wallet Seed. Please ensure no extra character or spaces as it will rendered the Seed useless.
  • Restore Height: "0" - This will sync your Android Wallet from the first block in the uPlexa Blockchain.
  • Ensure to save your Crazypass encrypted password on the next page, even if you did not enter a password!

Restore using Wallet Address and Private-Keys (View & Spend Key)

  • Type-in your wallet address (start with UPX...), private View key and private Spend key.
  • Restore Height: "0" - This will sync your Android Wallet from the first block in the uPlexa Blockchain.
  • Ensure to save your Crazypass encrypted password on the next page, even if you did not enter a password!


Now, allow for the wallet to sync. This may take a few minutes. Once fully synchronized, your balance and all your previous transaction will be shown.

Android Wallet Features

You can access the other android wallet features by click on three-dot menu on your wallet. The features available are:

  • Street Mode – Open your wallet with Received and Send functionality without showing your wallet balance or your transaction history
  • Receive – Quick access to Receive page. Show your public address and your QR code to receive UPX Coin
  • Rename – Change your wallet name
  • Backup – Create backup of your existing wallet in folder “/uPlexaAndroid/backups”
  • Archive – To backups your existing wallet and remove from the app. Backup file is in folder “/uPlexaAndroid/backups”
  • Show Secrets! – To show your wallet details. Public Address, Mnemonic Seed, Private View Key & Spend Key
