What is Mining? uPlexa mining is the process of adding transaction records to the uPlexa private ledger of past transactions. This ledger of past transactions is called the block chain as it is a chain of blocks. The block chain serves to confirm transactions to the rest of the network as having taken place. By mining blocks on the uPlexa network, you help power transactions, whilst being rewarded a reward based off of the amount of shares your computer submits overtime.

How Can I Mine? uPlexa's Cryptonight-UPX algorithm has been built in-order to provide higher hashing power than other blockchains for the internet of things (IoT). This allows for all things with processing power and internet access may mine on the uPlexa network, resulting in one of the most decentralized and private blockchains to exist. You are able to mine on your PC, phone, tablets, TV's, TV Boxes, Raspberry Pi's, and more.


Antivirus/False-Flagging: Cryptocurrency miners are almost all false-flagged by antivirus companies as a potential "harmful/coinminer". This is due to botmasters who install cryptocurrency miners on their victims computers without knowing it. <h2 style="margin-top:15px;">How to Mine uPlexa on Android Devices</h2> 
What is Mining? uPlexa mining is the process of adding transaction records to the uPlexa private ledger of past transactions. This ledger of past transactions is called the block chain as it is a chain of blocks. The block chain serves to confirm transactions to the rest of the network as having taken place. By mining blocks on the uPlexa network, you help power transactions, whilst being rewarded a reward based off of the amount of shares your computer submits overtime.

How Can I Mine? uPlexa's Cryptonight-UPX algorithm has been built in-order to provide higher hashing power than other blockchains for the internet of things (IoT). This allows for all things with processing power and internet access may mine on the uPlexa network, resulting in one of the most decentralized and private blockchains to exist. You are able to mine on your PC, phone, tablets, TV's, TV Boxes, Raspberry Pi's, and more.


Quick note: Cryptocurrency miners are almost all false-flagged by antivirus companies as a potential "harmful/coinminer". This is due to botmasters who install cryptocurrency miners on their victims computers without knowing it. XMRig-UPX & AndroidMiners are open source, and you may choose to compile this on your own.

<h2>How do I Start Mining with my Android Device?</h2>
First, you will need to create a uPlexa wallet. This is the wallet you will receive UPX (uPlexa coins) to. To create a wallet you may choose from the following options:

The wallet process is pretty straight forward. However, if you get lost, feel free to follow this step by step video guide by "IMineBlocks":

Once you have your wallet all set up, make sure to note your public key, as you will need it in a few moments.

Once you have downloaded and installed the APK file for the UPX Android Miner, simply enter your uPlexa wallet address under the settings page (Starting with UPXxxxxxx) into the field (Replacing the current one). Now, adjust your settings. We recommend a setting of 2–4 threads, or 50% Max CPU Usage. Click "Start" within the application.

What does a Utility Node do? A utility node will help with heavy lifting on the uPlexa network to allow for UNApps (Utility Node Apps), and browsing of the uPlexa equivalent of TOR, a private and anonymous network. Utility nodes will also act as exit nodes on our anonymity network and will also help increase the speeds of transactions by helping confirm blocks and denying invalid blocks from PoW to prevent 51% attacks. The uPlexa anonymity network will act like a VPN whilst also giving you access to a “deep” anonymity network to roam around in with complete privacy.

On wards:

You may choose to stake individually, or choose to participate in pooled staking.

Pooled staking: Pool operator must stake 25% of the necessary amount. The pool operator may reserve contribution slots for specific addresses to prevent random users from joining their pool. All users must contribute a minimum of 25% of the stake.

The pool may be open or reserved. If open, anybody can join the pool. The payouts will be left to the network, so there are no issues regarding trust.

You will be able to restake every 30 days (when your funds unlock). You may choose to restake automatically within the node, or to do so manually. You may also cancel your automatic restaking at anytime.

== Getting Started ==

Step 1)
Windows GUI Wallet can be downloaded from uPlexa official GitHub - https://github.com/uPlexa/uplexa-gui/releases. As of revision of this how-to guides, the current revision of GUI Wallet is v0.1.2

Step 2)
Extract uplexa-gui-win64-v0.1.2.zip to location of your choice. Once you have extracted the .zip file, you can run the GUI Wallet by running uplexa-wallet-gui.exe

Step 3)
Once you run the GUI Wallet, you will be greeted with the Welcome Page of the GUI Wallet. Please kindly select the preference language for the GUI Wallet.

== Creating a Wallet ==

Step 4)
If this the first time you are creating new uPlexa Wallet, please select “Create a new wallet”. To restore your existing wallet, please go to Step 9 or Step 10

Step 5)
Please give your wallet a name, and please TAKE NOTE and COPY the 25-Mnemonic Word Seed to somewhere safe. Please remember that anyone can restore and use your wallet if they have your 25-Mnemonic Word Seed.

Step 6)
Please set a strong password for your GUI Wallet. If you lost/forget your password, you will not be able to open your GUI Wallet, but you still can restore your wallet using 25-Mnemonic Word Seed.

Step 7)
On this page you will be able to set-up your local node or connect to remote node. For the sake of simplicity, you can connect to remote node for now. If the column is not automatically fill in, please follow the remote node address and port as shown in the below image.

Step 8)
Now you are all set up to use uPlexa GUI Wallet. Click on “USE UPLEXA” button to start using your GUI Wallet.

Now, allow for the wallet to sync. This may take a few minutes. Once fully synchronized, your balance will be shown.
